We better the world through tech education
SoFirm exists to make embedded systems education accessible — bridging the digital divide by teaching real, production-grade firmware skills, not just theory.

Meet the founder
Hello! I'm Thabiso Nxumalo, the founder of SoFirm. With a background in electronic and telecommunications engineering and a focus on embedded systems, I built this platform to break down barriers to tech education for African learners.
I've walked the road from student to engineer, often without mentorship or guidance close at hand. SoFirm is the resource I wish existed for me — a place to grow, ask questions, and build real things, taught by someone who's still writing firmware day to day.
"Technology should uplift, not divide."
